Shadows fill rooms and faces; cigarette smoke envelops the stillness of those staring at a case file, bewildered. The camera follows Tommaso, observing his movements, his pauses, his return to the archives, and the quiet determination with which he tries to establish connections between events that time seemed to have left behind.
